On October 24 Johannes Zits and Victoria Stanton continue their collaborative project, Embodying Nature: Relating to Geography, presenting the first City Version during the Opening Night Preview of Art Toronto (The Toronto International Art Fair). Actions done initially for the camera consider our relationship to the built and natural environment, looking into how movement and interactions in public spaces can question the limitations imposed by dominant histories and constructs. Manipulation of surfaces and screens upon which subsequent projections are shown “re-interpret” – and become layered – actions during a live presentation before an audience.
